Hi Rashmi,

I liked verymuch your poojai arai alangaram, kolam everything....

I was really suprised to see sugarcane!!!becoz when mother-in-law asked to keepsugar cane and pray if availble.we were kidding no only sugarcane would be availble in syrup form.

she too it has serious and answered,ok keep that syrup and pray...i rememebered after seeing your sugarcane..

One doubt, you do keep all kizhagu variety and plaitnain, drumstick etc for prayer?Becoz we don't pray like that, so wanna know any reason behind that...

Oops!i think i took long place of yours for commenting.

Usha,i got karumbu/sugarcane from Indian stores. You can also enquire in Indian stores. In Jersy it should be available. For pongal pooja only the offerings include all varieties of veggies, kizhagu etc.
